There are many travel sites on the Internet but they are not all created equal.  Many want to sell vacation packages and include information that you do not need or is not very reliable. 

Many guidebooks provide links to reliable sites for city tourist offices (Office de Tourisme).  Many towns and tourist destinations have their owns sites and most contain an English language version.
